Bahrain’s National Table Tennis Team delivered an outstanding performance at the West Asia Championship, capturing a remarkable seven gold medals across various categories.
The men’s doubles team, consisting of Rashid Sanad and Mohammed Abbas, set the stage for Bahrain’s remarkable run at the championship with a hardfought 3-2 victory over Saudi Arabia, earning them the gold medal.
Following their lead, the under-17 duo of Mohammed Nader and Majed Al A’ali beat Qatar 3-0 to secure their gold.
In the under-11 category, Ahmed Faisal emerged as a rising star, achieving a flawless 3-0 win against Iraq’s Mohammed Andia to claim gold.
The young star is undoubtedly one to watch. The success continued in the under-13 category, where Bahrain’s team dominated Qatar with another 3-0 win to add to their gold medal tally.
Adding to the celebration, Kinda Mahmoud won the under-11 singles gold, winning 3-0 over Iraq’s Sareena Shaikh.
Bahrain’s table tennis team has made the nation proud, bringing home a total of seven gold medals and affirming their place as champions on the regional stage.
