Williams extends Tour of Britain lead with another stage win

Wales' Stephen Williams continued his dominance in the Tour of Britain, claiming his second consecutive stage win and extending his overall race lead. The Israel-Premier Tech rider triumphed in a sprint finish on a rainswept day, outpacing stage one winner Paul Magnier and Edoardo Zambanini after his team successfully neutralized multiple breakaway attempts.
"It was a really hard day, very demanding," said Williams following the 166km stage from Sheffield to Barnsley. "The team was unbelievable, exceptional. They controlled the race perfectly, and I'm proud to bring it across the line."
Williams now leads Britain's Oscar Onley by 16 seconds in the general classification, with Mark Donovan, Joe Blackmore, and Tom Donnenwirth trailing by 41 seconds.
The fourth stage of the race, covering 138.5km, will take place on Friday from Derby to Newark.
