The incident resulted in the officials’ announcing a postponement of the final until further notice. The dramatic incident unfolded at the Bahrain Handball Association Hall, where Al Zimoor’s enthusiasm turned to distress as he fell ill. Security personnel, event organizers, and fellow fans quickly sprang into action, rushing him to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.
Despite their best efforts, Al Zimoor tragically passed away on the way to the hospital.
