Bahrain Indian School shines at CBSE Cluster Games 2024

Bhavans - Bahrain Indian School (BIS) exhibited a commendable performance at the CBSE Cluster Games 2024, held from September 18th to 22nd September 2024 among all CBSE schools in Bahrain which included Indian School, New Indian School, Asian School, Ibn Hythem School, New Millennium School and Bhavans Bahrain Indian School.
The event showcased the exceptional talents of our students across various sports, reinforcing school’s commitment to excellence in education and extracurricular activities. The competition commenced on 18th September 1 with the Boys Under-19 Basketball tournament.
The following day, the badminton matches took place, with boys and girls competing in all categories. On September 21st, Bahrain Indian School organized the Table Tennis events, hosting both boys and girls in various age categories.
Bahrain Indian School demonstrated remarkable prowess in Table Tennis, securing 1st place in both the Under-19 and Under-14 Boys categories.
BIS girls Team also showcased their talent, with the Under-14 team finishing in a commendable 2nd place. Outstanding Performance was exhibited by Sunish Sunil Bayalan (X), Atharva Adithya Balvalli (XI) and Daksh Choudhary (IX) in under-19 Boys Table Tennis and the team grabber 1st place in the game.
Further, Ahan Santosh Prabhu (VIII), Sujay Sunil Bayalan (VII), Suyash Sunil Bayalan (VII) won the first place in Under-14 Boys Table Tennis. Veda Harisankar Menon (VII), Anaya Joem (VII) and Sara Thakur (VII) won second place in Girls Under-14 Table Tennis.
Additionally CBSE Cluster for chess was also held on 22nd September. Trishan Moorkoth (V), Siddharth Pattamatta Rajveera Venkate Jo. (V), Varenium Suraj Patel (IV) and Ehan Anjam (IV) won second place in Under 11 Boys category.
Chess also held for Girls category. Saisha Jojy (IV), Shaly Sandeep (IV), Jaswitha Srisatya Kanumilli (V) and Vedika Hareesh (V) were the Runner up in the tournament.
In Under 14 Girls, Hanna Rachel Tom (VII), Gargi Mahitha Kandikatla ( VIII), Ananthika Anoop (VIII), Lavanya Agarwal (VIII) were also the runner up in the tournament. In category Under -17 Girls, Sarah Jojy (IX), Ayushi Dash (IX), Pournnami Bobby (VII) and Ananya Narala( X) were also the runner up in the tournament.
BIS Directors Mr. Himanshu Verma and Mrs Ritu Verma congratulated the students and their teachers and appreciated the dedication, sportsmanship, and teamwork displayed throughout the tournament.
They further added that their hard work and commitment have not only brought accolades to our school but have also set a benchmark for future participants.
Principal Mr. Saji Jacob extended his heartfelt appreciation. He added, as we celebrate these victories, we remain committed to nurturing the talents of our students and providing them with opportunities for growth and excellence in all fields.
