In a continued effort to enhance its sports coverage, the Bahrain Football Association (BFA) held an evaluation session for aspiring commentators at its headquarters. This initiative is part of the BFA’s broader strategy to provide live coverage of matches for the upcoming 2024-2025 season across its various platforms.
Practical Assessment for New Commentators
The BFA had earlier announced its intention to invite applications from individuals interested in commentating on the upcoming season's matches. Several candidates stepped forward, showing their enthusiasm for the opportunity.
During the session, participants were assessed based on a practical exercise, where they provided live commentary on a video clip from a previous BFA match. The evaluation was overseen by Rashid Al-Zoubi, the BFA’s Secretary General, along with professional commentator Khalid Al-Munshid.
Partnership with Teal Flamingo Studios for 2024-2025 Match Coverage
In a related move, the BFA recently signed an agreement with Teal Flamingo Studios to handle the filming of the national team's games and other competitions during the 2024-2025 season. Matches will be broadcasted via the BFA’s official YouTube channel, as well as on the Fanseat platform, bringing widespread access for football fans.
Opportunities for Young Bahraini Commentators
Through these efforts, the BFA aims to discover fresh talent in the field of sports commentary, offering young Bahrainis with a passion for football the chance to voice their creativity. Select candidates will be chosen to participate in workshops designed to further improve their skills, preparing them to deliver high-quality commentary for future matches.
