The Bahrain Mini Olympics, held from September 23 to October 3, 2024, witnessed the vibrant participation of young athletes, with Bhavans-Bahrain Indian School (BIS) students showcasing exceptional talent across various sporting disciplines.
One of the standout performers was Sunish Sunil Bayalan from Grade 10, who delivered an outstanding performance, securing the gold medal in the 3000 meters race and clinching the silver medal in the 1500 meters race.
His relentless dedication and hard work were clearly reflected in his achievements, setting a high standard for his peers.
In table tennis, Sarah Jojy of Grade 9 demonstrated remarkable skill and determination, winning a silver medal in her category. Her performance underscored her commitment to excellence and her ability to compete at a high level.
BIS Directors, Mr. Himanshu Verma and Mrs. Ritu Verma, congratulated the medalists and all participants, applauding their outstanding achievements and the competitive spirit they displayed.
They expressed their hopes for continued success in future competitions.
Principal Mr. Saji Jacob also commended the students, highlighting the significance of sports in developing teamwork, discipline, and resilience.
