The Bahrain national handball team is set to depart for Kuwait on November 4, where they will participate in a high-profile international friendly tournament.

The event will see Bahrain competing against strong teams from Kuwait, Iran, and Cape Verde, providing valuable preparation ahead of future competitions, including the highly anticipated 2025 World Championship.

Ahead of their departure, the team was recently honored in a special reception by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).

The reception celebrated the senior men’s team, as well as Bahrain’s youth and junior teams, following their impressive qualification for the 2025 World Championship and the junior team’s victory in the Arab Cup.

The event was attended by notable dignitaries, including HH Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the GSA, and HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the BOC, among others.

HH Shaikh Khalid praised the national teams’ recent accomplishments.

“The national handball teams’ success represents a significant milestone in elevating Bahraini sports on the global stage,” HH Shaikh Khalid said, expressing pride in their efforts and urging continued dedication as they prepare for the World Championship.

The upcoming tournament in Kuwait will serve as an important step in Bahrain’s journey to the 2025 World Championship.
