Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, is getting ready for another busy weekend on track with a pair of fun activities catering to fans with varying interests.
On Friday (Editor’s note: 25 October), BIC will be offering the public the chance to enjoy an early morning workout within the unique setting of a Formula 1 host venue with Batelco Fitness on Track.
Then, on Saturday (Editor’s note: 26 October), it’s time to get into the fast lane with BIC’s Track Experiences, featuring ultra-quick race cars.
Both events are part of BIC’s packed calendar for the 2024/2025 season, which is now in full swing.
To secure a spot in either of this weekend's activities or to get more information, visit BIC’s official website bahraingp.com or call the BIC Hotline on +973-17450000.
Friday’s Batelco Fitness on Track can be done both on foot or on a bicycle – either individually or with a group of friends and family. The activity will be taking place from 6am to 10am, making for a fresh start to the weekend.
Runners and walkers will be utilising BIC’s 2.550-kilometre Inner Circuit, while cyclists will get to ride their bikes along the 3.543-kilometre Outer Circuit, with another dedicated area for children’s cycling.
The cost to take part is BD2 for cyclists and BD1 for runners. Payment must be made upon booking. Children under the age of 12 can participate for free if accompanied by a paying adult.
BIC’s Batelco Fitness on Track Season Pass is also still available. This is ideal for regular participants as it grants access to all Batelco Fitness on Track events throughout the season, at the affordable price of just BD15. The pass is thus a great way to save money over the course of the year, with Batelco Fitness on Track being held multiple times each month, all the way through to April of 2025. Season Passes can be purchased by contacting the BIC Hotline.
Meanwhile, Saturday’s Track Experiences gives speed enthusiasts the chance to get into the hot seat, either as a driver or a passenger, in a Renault Clio Cup as well as in an SR3 Radical. The event will be held from 8am to 12 noon.
Fans will get an awesome introduction into the high-octane world of motorsports in the Clio Cup Driver Experience. Participants will buckle up in a Renault Clio Cup sports car – boasting a 1.6-litre, Turbocharged engine – and take it out onto the track behind a professional instructor in a lead-follow manner.
A Passenger Experience will thrill fans in a Radical SR3, where they will be taken from zero to 100kph in about 3.4 seconds, making for a memorable number of laps around BIC.
The cost to get behind the wheel for the Clio Cup Driver Experience is BD121. For the Radical SR3 Passenger Experience, it is BD38.500.
