Preparing for International Competition

Bahrain’s national handball team will depart for Kuwait to participate in an international friendly tournament, set to commence on Wednesday and run through November 11. The tournament will feature a competitive lineup, including the host nation Kuwait, along with teams from Tunisia and Cape Verde. This presents a valuable opportunity for Bahrain to test its mettle against international opponents.

Team Composition and Coaching Staff

The delegation is led by team administrator Ahmad Najem and features an experienced coaching staff, including Icelandic head coach Aron Kristjánsson, assistant coach Ali Al-Falahi, goalkeeper coach Makram Al-Mesawi, and medical specialist Karim Mohammed. Technical analyst Hussein Ali and physical trainer Hamda Bin Al-Munsif round out the support team. The squad consists of 18 players selected for this tournament, including:

Match Schedule

Bahrain will kick off its tournament campaign against Tunisia on Wednesday at 5 PM, followed by a match against the Kuwaiti team on Thursday. The tournament will conclude for Bahrain with a clash against Cape Verde on Saturday. This series of matches will be crucial for the team's cohesion and performance as they prepare for the bigger challenges.

Building Towards the Future

This participation coincides with the international break (IHF DAYS) and forms part of Bahrain’s comprehensive preparation program for the 2025 World Championship, which will take place in Croatia, Denmark, and Norway.
