Celebrated at the IMMAF Awards in Tashkent
Uzbekistan’s capital, Tashkent, recently hosted the IMMAF Awards, where Bahrain’s own Sultan Jabezev received the highly coveted RDX Performance of the Year award. This ceremony took place on the sidelines of the IMMAF World Championships, highlighting the finest athletes in mixed martial arts.
A Year of Unmatched Performances
Jabezev’s selection for this award comes as no surprise, considering his stellar record this year. His achievements include securing the bronze medal in the heavyweight division (97kg+) at the IMMAF World Championships held in Serbia in February. He then continued to dominate his category, winning gold at the IMMAF World Championships in Albania in November, and further claiming the top podium spot in the Asian Championships in Pakistan in August. His consistency and power have made him a standout athlete within Bahrain’s national team.
International Recognition of Bahraini Talent
In Tashkent, Jabezev accepted his award from IMMAF President Kerrith Brown, accompanied by Mohammed Ali Qambar, President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation. Brown mentioned Jabezev’s remarkable technical performance across IMMAF competitions, emphasizing how his excellence has not only bolstered Bahrain’s global reputation in MMA but also elevated the level of competition and excitement surrounding the IMMAF events.
Setting New Standards for Future Athletes
Jabezev’s success is a point of pride for Bahrain, showing the nation’s commitment to developing world-class martial artists. His achievements set a high standard for future athletes, inspiring the next generation of fighters from Bahrain to aim for international success in mixed martial arts.
