Gulf Cup Draw Sets Stage for Exciting 26th Edition in Kuwait

The stage is set for the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji Zain 26), with the official draw held on Saturday in Kuwait City. Hosted by Kuwait, the much-anticipated tournament will take place from December 21, 2024, to January 3, 2025.
The draw divided the eight participating nations into two groups:
• Group A: Kuwait (hosts), Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and Oman
• Group B: Iraq (defending champions), Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Yemen The Gulf Cup’s group stage will see each team compete within their group, with the top two teams advancing to the semi-finals.
Key Matches Qatar, the reigning Asian champions, will kick off the tournament against the UAE on December 21 at Jaber International Stadium in Kuwait City.
The competition promises thrilling encounters, especially with Iraq defending their title and Kuwait striving for success on home soil.
The draw ceremony saw participation from high-profile dignitaries, including Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, AGCFF President and Minister of Sports and Youth.
