Bahrain’s national team delivers a promising performance on the road to the 2025 World Handball Championship.
Bahrain’s national handball team put on an impressive display in the first edition of the Kuwait International Handball Championship, claiming second place after a decisive 29-21 win over Cape Verde.
Bahrain led comfortably throughout the match, finishing the first half with a commanding 16-9 advantage before sealing the game in the second half.
This win marked Bahrain’s second win in the tournament, bringing their record to two wins and one loss. Despite a strong showing, Bahrain concluded the championship behind Tunisia, who claimed first place.
This tournament served as crucial preparation for the upcoming 2025 World Handball Championship, set to feature 32 international teams, including highly competitive squads from the Arab world.
With the Kuwait International Handball Championship providing a valuable testing ground, Bahrain’s national team is on track for the 2025 World Championship, scheduled to take place across Croatia, Denmark, and Norway.
