Bahraini-Egyptian Basketball Super Cup Kicks Off: Al Ahly, Al Manama, and More!

Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), Bahrain is set to host the highly anticipated Bahraini-Egyptian Basketball Super Cup from November 28 to 30.

The tournament will begin with the Egyptian Super Cup on November 28, featuring a face-off between two Egyptian basketball giants—Al Ahly and Al Ittihad Alexandria. The following day, November 29, the Bahraini Super Cup will see Al Manama take on Al Ahly in an exciting showdown. The winners of these two matches will then meet in the grand finale, the Bahraini-Egyptian Super Cup, on November 30. Before the final, a third-place playoff will be held between the two losing teams.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted that this bilateral sporting event reflects the strong and enduring ties between Bahrain and Egypt. These relations have flourished under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt.

"This tournament not only strengthens the bonds between our nations but also promotes the broader goal of unity through sports," HH Shaikh Khalid stated. He added that hosting such high-level competitions aligns with Bahrain's vision of attracting diverse sporting events, which supports the kingdom’s development as a hub for sports tourism.
