The event will feature two major categories: Bahrain’s Strongest Man and GCC’s Strongest Man, attracting top athletes from across the region and the globe.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa stressed the significance of the WSM Competition as a key sporting event that not only showcases the extraordinary strength and physical abilities of participants but also inspires a culture of determination, resilience, and healthy living. "This competition represents more than just a display of strength; it’s an opportunity to encourage our youth to pursue excellence in sports, while also advancing Bahrain's vision to integrate sports into our national development goals," His Highness said. "By hosting such a prestigious event, we are reinforcing Bahrain's commitment to being a regional leader in the sporting world."

In preparation for the 2025 edition, His Highness emphasized the need to enhance the competition’s organisation, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for both athletes and spectators. "We aim to elevate the event with world-class organisation and a higher level of competition, positioning the 2025 WSM as one of the premier sporting events in the region," he added.
