Following the thrilling Bahrain International Trophy last week, Bahrain’s horse racing enthusiasts are gearing up for another exciting event this Friday at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club. The fourth race of the 2024-2025 season, featuring the inaugural “Bahrain Bourse Cups,” promises to deliver a memorable day of competition.
Marking their debut as key sponsors of horse racing in Bahrain, Bahrain Bourse is lending its name to the event, underscoring its commitment to supporting the sport. With 85 horses confirmed after final entries, fans can expect close contests across eight races, showcasing a range of local and international equine talent.
The event highlights include the “Bahrain Bourse Cup” for Arabian horses (WAHO) over a 1200m distance, and other races spanning categories such as local-bred and imported horses, with distances ranging from 1000m to 2200m. Notable participants include promising contenders like “Lazarus Dream,” “Gimme Shelter,” and “Equila,” among others.
The high stakes and close competition are fueling anticipation among fans, with the event set to attract spectators eager to witness the thrills of top-tier horse racing. Bahrain’s passion for equestrian sport is further solidified by this partnership, reinforcing the kingdom’s reputation as a regional hub for racing excellence.
