Bahrain’s U-18 MMA Team shines with 13 medals at Asian Championship

Bahrain’s U-18 mixed martial arts (MMA) team delivered a top display at the Asian U-18 MMA Championship, securing a total of 13 medals, including two golds, four silvers, and seven bronzes.
The championship took place as part of BRAVE International Combat Week Bahrain 2024, organized under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
Bahrain’s medal haul was split across two days. On Day 1, the national team captured one gold, one silver, and three bronzes, setting a strong tone for the competition.
They followed up with an even more remarkable showing on Day 2, adding another gold, three silvers, and four bronzes to their tally. Standout Performers The standout result came from Mohammed Mohammed, who claimed gold in the 34kg (Category C) division.
In the same category, Ali Baqlaweh secured silver, while Mohammed Baqlaweh earned silver in the 48kg (Category C) division. Sayed Ali Abdullah also delivered an inspired performance to claim silver in the 40kg (Category B) category.
On the team’s success, Mohammed Ali Qambar, Member of the IMMAF Board and President of the Bahrain MMA Federation, expressed gratitude and pride in the national team’s achievements.
