Bahrain's triathlon team delivered a series of exceptional performances at the Fujairah International Triathlon, held in conjunction with the West Asia Triathlon Championship in the UAE. The competition marked another milestone for Bahrain’s growing triathlon legacy, with the team claiming multiple podium finishes.
Dominance in the Super Sprint
The Super Sprint category proved to be a showcase of Bahrain’s prowess:
- Hamed Al Hamrani secured first place in the Age Group division, leading the field with an impressive display of strength and strategy.
- Al Baraa Mohammed Al Rumaihi followed closely, claiming second place and underlining Bahrain's dominance in the event.
- Omar Yasser completed the sweep with a hard-fought third place, ensuring Bahrain’s athletes ruled the podium.
In the overall Super Sprint standings, Adel Ahmed added to the team's success, clinching third place with a commanding performance.
Leadership and Dedication
Abdullah Abdelsalam, President of the Bahrain Triathlon Association, expressed immense pride in the team’s achievements. He attributed their success to the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
“This victory reflects the hard work and dedication of our athletes, coaches, and management,” Abdelsalam said. “Our players have shown they can excel at the highest levels, and this is a testament to Bahrain's commitment to fostering athletic talent.”
