One of the top Flyweights from India Ehtesham Ansari made his BRAVE CF debut at BRAVECF 92 in Bahrain when he took on Pakistan’s Aqib Awan in a high-stakes India vs Pakistan showdown.
Ehtesham was stopped by Aqib in the third round via ground and pound and the Indian’s lack of defence from the bottom position during the finishing sequence left fans curious about his performance.
After the fight, Ehtesham was seen holding his arm and leg, indicating an injury, which likely had an impact on his performance. And now, in an Instagram story, Ehtesham has shared a picture of himself dropping Aqib during an exchange in the fight, hinting at his desire for a rematch with his Pakistani opponent.
Ehtesham entered BRAVE CF 92 riding a six-fight winning streak, with two of those wins coming in Central Asia. He had also trained extensively in Dagestan to prepare for the bout but unfortunately, the injury prevented him from performing at his full potential.
For Aqib, the victory marked a strong comeback from the quick knockout loss he suffered at BRAVE CF 85 in Pakistan.
The India vs. Pakistan showdowns at BRAVE CF 92 marked the second instalment of the three-part series by BRAVE Combat Federation. The first edition took place at BRAVE CF 85 in Pakistan earlier this year, and with the second chapter concluded at a neutral venue in Bahrain, the stage is set for the third instalment, scheduled to take place in India in 2025.
