The MMA world witnessed the rise of a new superstar at BRAVE CF 92 in Bahrain, as Indian Judo champion Suchika Tariyal secured a dominant submission victory over Jhen Buzon of the Philippines.
Dubbed the “Ronda Rousey of India,” Suchika is a multi-time international medalist in Judo and a Jiu-Jitsu world champion and her world-class grappling skills were on full display at BRAVE CF 92, where she left no room for Jhen to mount any offense before submitting her with a belly-down armbar in the second round.
With this win, Suchika maintained her undefeated professional MMA record, improving to two wins and no losses with both her wins coming through armbar submissions. Now, with her successful debut in the books, she has set her sights on becoming the first-ever BRAVE CF Female Champion.
BRAVE CF has a stacked women’s division, featuring top athletes like former IMMAF world champion Sabrina de Sousa, European star Monika Kucinic, and IMMAF Medalist Songül Karatorak among others. Both Sabrina and Monika have already expressed their ambition to become the inaugural BRAVE CF Female Champion.
Suchika’s impressive performance at BRAVE CF 92 has put her into the title conversation. She is aiming to skip the line and create history by becoming India’s first BRAVE CF World Champion. Such a victory would not only mark a milestone for the organization but also transform the MMA landscape in India. The country has long awaited a proper world champion in MMA, and if Suchika breaks through, it would accelerate the sport’s growth and serve as a source of national pride.
With a lineup of world-class fighters competing for the honor of becoming BRAVE CF’s first Female Champion, the stage is set for an electrifying 2025 in the women’s divisions.
