2024 was a rollercoaster year for Bahrain’s Mohamed Alsameea. With valuable lessons learned and successes achieved, Alsameea is now poised to lead the next generation of MMA fighters from the Kingdom.

The Bahraini star entered the year undefeated in his professional MMA career, having secured finishes in his first two professional fights. Building on this impressive start and his success in the amateur circuit, Alsameea faced a major step up in competition at BRAVE CF 84 in China, where he took on Weiqiang Yang, a more experienced opponent with over three times Alsameea’s professional fight experience. Despite the gap in experience, Alsameea delivered a respectable performance but ultimately suffered a decision loss after three hard-fought rounds, ending his undefeated streak.

Refusing to let the setback define him, Alsameea returned to the cage a few months later at BRAVE CF 91 in Bahrain, where he faced Salah Walid. This time around, Alsameea dominated the fight and secured a second-round stoppage victory, marking a triumphant comeback.

With this win, Alsameea showcased his ability to bounce back from adversity—a critical trait for world-class MMA fighters. The victory improved his professional record to three wins and one loss and solidified his status as a rising star in BRAVE CF’s Flyweight division.
