Stephen Bunting crowned an unforgettable night of darts by defeating Gerwyn Price 8-4 to win the Bahrain Darts Masters 2025 at the Bahrain International Circuit. The St. Helens man finally broke his finals curse, securing his first World Series title after 11 years and six runner-up finishes.

“It’s even more satisfying because what an absolutely lovely trophy this is,” Bunting said after his victory. “Being world No. 5 is an incredible feeling, and it’s made me very strong to be honest.”

Luke Littler’s Journey Steals the Spotlight

Though the night belonged to Bunting, much of the tournament’s buzz revolved around 17-year-old Luke Littler. The reigning world champion entered the event as the defending Bahrain Darts Masters titleholder. His quarter-final clash against Gerwyn Price was electrifying, with Price averaging a tournament-high 115.3 and coming within one dart of a perfect nine-darter. Despite Littler’s best efforts, Price triumphed 6-2, ending the young sensation’s campaign.

Littler, who hit a nine-darter in last year’s event, remained composed in defeat, earning admiration from fans and peers alike. “Players like Luke Littler are the future of our sport,” Price said. “It’s exciting to see such talent emerge.”

Bunting’s Path to Glory

Bunting’s route to the title included a commanding 6-0 quarter-final win over Chris Dobey and a dramatic 7-6 semi-final comeback against Luke Humphries. In the final, “The Bullet” displayed precision and resilience, capitalizing on Price’s missed doubles and maintaining his dominance throughout.

A Night to Remember

The Bahrain Darts Masters 2025 delivered thrilling matches, dramatic comebacks, and moments of pure inspiration. The event sets the stage for an exciting darts calendar, with the Premier League Darts returning live on Sky Sports every Thursday from February 6.
