Renowned Bahraini rally driver Hasan Al Sadadi has brought pride to the Kingdom of Bahrain by successfully completing the grueling Dakar Rally 2025, held across Saudi Arabia. Widely regarded as one of the most challenging off-road races in the world, this year’s event spanned 12 stages and over 8,000 kilometers of diverse desert terrain.
Al Sadadi, racing in the side-by-side vehicle (SSV) T4 class, piloted his #444 BRP Can-Am Maverick XRS Turbo RR alongside Polish navigator Marcin Pasek. Competing as part of the R-X Sport team, the 61-year-old veteran secured his best stage ranking, 83rd, during the final leg of the rally. His overall performance earned him 107th place in the general classification (GC), with a total rally time of 123 hours, six minutes, and three seconds.
Expressing his gratitude, Al Sadadi acknowledged the unwavering support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and Beyon Group. He emphasized that their encouragement played a pivotal role in his successful participation in the event.
“It is a great honour to represent Bahrain on one of the grandest stages in motorsport,” said Al Sadadi. “Carrying the Kingdom’s flag in one of the most prestigious races in the world is a moment of immense pride.”
The Dakar Rally 2025 marks the opening round of the World Rally-Raid Championship, co-sanctioned by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). Featuring elite competitors across categories such as cars, bikes, challengers, SSVs, trucks, M1000s, and classics, the rally continues to captivate motorsport enthusiasts worldwide since its inception in 1979.
Bahrain’s support for Al Sadadi aligns with the nation’s broader commitment to fostering athletic excellence and elevating its presence in global sports.
The Dakar Rally remains a testament to the skill, resilience, and determination required to conquer some of the harshest conditions on the planet, and Al Sadadi’s participation highlights Bahrain’s growing prominence in international motorsport.
