Bahrain Kicks Off "Frij Al-Dhahab" League: A New Era for Grassroots Football

Bahrain’s passion for football has taken a significant leap forward with the launch of the much-anticipated "Frij Al-Dhahab" League. Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the league officially kicked off on Saturday. The matches are being held at the state-of-the-art "Al-Fareej Fields," a visionary project spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.

A Ceremonial Start in the Northern Governorate

The league’s opening ceremony, held in the Northern Governorate, was graced by several prominent figures, including Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the General Sports Authority; Ali Abdulhussain Al-Asfoor, Governor of the Northern Governorate; Colonel Ammar Mustafa Al-Sayed, Assistant Chief of Public Security for Community Affairs; Khalid Ibrahim Kanoo, President of Al-Ahli Club; and Fadhel Al-Marzooq, President of Al-Ittifaq Club. The event saw an enthusiastic turnout, reflecting the growing excitement surrounding this grassroots football initiative.

The "Frij Al-Dhahab" League represents more than just competitive matches.
