The Bahrain Rotax MAX Challenge (BRMC) stages the sixth round of its 2024/2025 season tomorrow at Bahrain International Circuit’s (BIC) world-class grassroots motorsport facility in Sakhir.

The Kingdom’s top karting talents are set to go wheel-towheel at Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC) in their very own Rotax-powered challengers as the fight for crucial championship points intensifies heading into this campaign’s home stretch.

Competition is set to be held in the BRMC’s various categories, including the Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, Senior MAX, DD2 MAX, and DD2 MAX Masters.

Action on Friday is scheduled to begin from 9am and continue until 6pm along BIKC’s 1.414-kilometre CIK-FIA track. All are welcome to attend and cheer for the karters. Entrance to BIKC is free of charge.

The BRMC is organised by BIC, BIKC, the Bahrain Motor Federation, the Bahrain Karting Commission, and the Motorsport Marshals Club.

Competitors are battling it out for their respective titles and the incredible opportunity to represent Bahrain in the annual Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals – one of the most prestigious annual karting events in the world.

Heading into this weekend’s events, Tariq Soofi enjoys a comfortable lead in the Micro MAX championship standings, which he tops with 170 points. Abdulaziz Alsarraf follows with 132 points and Rashid Almahroos is third on 106.

Shaikh Ahmed bin Saqer Al Khalifa has a narrow lead in the Mini MAX class with 147 points – just six ahead of Jude Andrews on 141. Rayyan Najjar is not too far behind in third with 115 points.

Nasser Nass is the runaway leader in the Junior MAX title fight with 175 points in first place. Demir Abali is a distant second with 116 points, while Khaled Najjar is ranked third on 108.

Tye Mejia leads the Senior MAX category with 148 points while Mohammed Alhasan is hot on his trail with 124 points. Vedant Menon is third on 107.

Abdulla Junaid is comfortably in front in the DD2 MAX standings, where he boasts 153 points in first. Raoul Sadi follows on 87 while Musaad Albassam is third with 70.

Mohamed Almahroos has an unassailable advantage in the DD2 MAX Masters class with 140 points – more than 100 ahead of Khalifa Delaim on 29. Roberto Giannotti is third with nine points.

The BRMC’s 2024/2025 calendar features eight rounds, running until next month. Following Friday’s meeting, the series’ seventh and penultimate round will take place on 8 February. That will then set the stage for the BRMC finale two weeks later on 21 February.
