Final four set as quarterfinals deliver pulsating action in Furjan Gold League

The stage is set for the grand finale of the Furjan Gold League, a tournament pulsating with passion and competition under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

Sunday’s electrifying Round of 16 and Quarterfinal matchups brought 16 teams, representing the champions of Bahrain’s four governorates, to the pitch at Tamkeen Youth Club in Abu Quwah.

Representing the Northern Governorate, Furjan Al-Wusta secured their spot in the semifinals by narrowly defeating Furjan Al-Hukouma from Muharraq in a penalty shootout.

In another clash, Furjan Al-Nusour edged past Furjan Al-Sa’sa’a with a gritty 1-0 win. Meanwhile, the Northern Governorate’s Furjan Al-Khamis stunned their rivals, Furjan Al-Janoub from the Southern Governorate, with an impressive 4-2 win. Completing the lineup, Furjan Bu-Surra stormed past Furjan Al-Jasra, delivering a commanding 6-0 win to secure their place in the semifinals.

All eyes now turn to the Abdullah bin Khalid Talent Academy in Isa Town for the league’s climax today. The action-packed day kicks off at 3:30 PM with Furjan Al-Wusta taking on Furjan Bu-Surra. This is followed by a semi-final clash at 4:00 PM between Furjan Al-Nusour and Furjan Al-Khamis.

The grand finale, set for 6:00 PM, will see the two finalists compete for the title. Fans will also enjoy a special celebratory event featuring stars from Bahrain’s national football team, Gulf Cup champions, alongside exciting performances and festivities.
