Liverpool manager Arne Slot has warned against complacency despite his side taking an 11-point lead in the Premier League following a crucial 2-0 win over Manchester City.
A Commanding Position, But No Guarantees
Sunday’s victory at the Etihad saw Liverpool move to 64 points after 27 matches, with second-placed Arsenal trailing on 53 points with a game in hand. However, Slot remains cautious, acknowledging the unpredictable nature of the title race.
“In every other league, having a lead like this would be very comfortable—except for this one,” Slot told reporters.
Tough Road Ahead
With Arsenal and other challengers still in the mix, Slot knows the job is far from done. Liverpool, aiming for their first league title since 2020, must stay focused as the season heads into its decisive phase.
