Barbar Secure Third Consecutive Khalid Bin Hamad Under-16 Handball League Title

Barbar defeated Samaheej to claim the Khalid Bin Hamad Under-16 Handball League title for the third year running, with a dominant 32-25 win in the final. The match, held at the Umm Al-Hassam Sports Complex, saw Barbar take control from early on, asserting their superiority in the youth handball scene.

The competition, which concluded under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, was a fascinating spectacle. Despite a determined effort from Samaheej, Barbar’s tactical discipline and cohesive play gave them a commanding lead by the middle of the first half.

Samaheej worked tirelessly to claw back into the game, but Barbar’s composed play and solid defense held firm. As the final whistle blew, the win marked another milestone in the team's impressive legacy, cementing their place as a dominant force in the competition.

In the aftermath, Barbar were presented with the gold medals and the championship trophy, while Samaheej received the silver. Tubli rounded off the top three, earning the bronze after edging past Al-Ittifaq, who finished in fourth.

The event was graced by officials from the General Sports Authority and Bahrain Handball Federation, alongside representatives from the competing clubs. A large and enthusiastic crowd turned out to witness the gripping final, creating an electric atmosphere.

With this victory, Barbar continue their reign in youth handball, and all eyes will be on them as they look to defend their title again next season.
