Bahrain Arabian Horse Show kicks off today
The Bahrain Arabian Horse Show gets underway today from 10am at the Bahrain Defence Force Equestrian Centre in Sakhir.
The event is co-organised by Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) and Bahrain Horse Society (BHS).
Today’s competition features six classes and ranges from judging of one-year-old foals up to mares aged nine years and older.
Tomorrow competition starts at 3pm and also features six classes from one-year-old colts up to stallions aged nine years and older.
The championship which has been highly successful over the years showcases the best pure bred Arabian horses.
It is expected to be attended by many involved in the equestrian scene in the Kingdom from horse owners to many stable officials, as well as visitors from neighbouring countries of the region.
Judging will be administered by international and local crews in accordance with the internationally recognised scoring system.
