Bahrain continues to win more MMA titles

The Kingdom of Bahrain continues to bag more titles and feats from participation in the international mixed martial arts championships.

Professional MMA fighter James Gallagher from Khalid bin Hamad (KHK MMA) Team has won the title of Chaos 15 Championship for Professional MMA fighters, beating fighter Dickie MacLennan in the first round of the main fray in the championship hosted in Derry City, Northern Ireland.

On this occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS) also the Chairman of Bahrain Athletic Association (BAA) congratulated HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on this accomplishment. His Highness said the Bahraini mixed martial arts (MMA) game will continue to achieve more thanks to the Royal patronage for the youth and sports sector, which will boost the Kingdom's sports revival and its advancement.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad congratulated the government led by HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, for their unlimited support to the youth and sports sector, through the implementation of numerous vital projects that contribute in the constant process of building and development of this important sector.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad also lauded the outstanding efforts exerted by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad al Khalifa the Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs also Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports (SCYS) and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) in translating the vision and directives of His Majesty the King for the continuous comprehensive development process, through the initiatives, plans and programmes laid down by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad that contribute in achievement of the goals and aspirations for the development and advancement of Bahraini sports, His Highness Shaikh Khalid said.

His Highness said the Bahrain MMA sport has imposed its powerful presence in the international arena through the participations of Khalid bin Hamad MMA Team which has had its great effect of accomplishing six feats within short time. KHK MMA team meritoriously placed the Kingdom of Bahrain's name among the advanced countries in terms of this global sports. His Highness said the patronage and support will continue for this sport to continue its progress and to achieve more honourable results from participations in the various upcoming international championships.

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the professional performance and high level attained by professional MMA fighter James Gallagher from KHK MMA Team who accomplished this spectacular result to be added to the record of achievements by the Bahraini sports at various functions. He also thanked the technical and administrative crews for preparing the winning fighter in the best way to successfully participate in this championship and achieve such honourable result for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
