Venus bags GP class in showjumping
Shaikh Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Khalifa riding Venus won the Grand Prix class in 59.94 seconds with four faults over 120-130cm barriers in the Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Showjumping Championship held on Friday at the Bahrain Defence Force Equestrian Centre in Sakhir.
The event was held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad
Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Athletic Association in the presence of Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation
(BREEF).
In other action, both juniors classes were dominated by rider Mayoof Al Rumaihi who finished the first in 24 seconds over 80-90cm barriers and the second in 46:97 seconds over 95-105cm.
In the first adults class, Ali Isa riding Refezenty (41.43) claimed first position over 90-100cm and the second two-phase adults class was won by Sami Ghazwan (30.00) over 105-115cm.
