Nasser bin Hamad awards endurance race winners
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee honoured the winners of Khalid bin Hamad 120KM Endurance Race in the presence of HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).
Rashid Al Rowaiee from Al Zaeem Stables won the first place on the horse Trabic, finishing in 04:35:25 time with the speed of 26km/h. The second and third places went to Al Fateh Stables’ rider Raed Mahmoud and Al Asayel Stables’ Fahad Helal Al Khatery, who finished the race in 04:44:10 and 04:44:15, respectively and with the speed of 25km/h.
In the stables contests, the first three places were dominated by Raed Mahmoud, Fahad Helal Al Khatery and Dana Abdulrahman Al Saeed. The riders finished the round in 04:44:10, 04:44:15 and 04:57:00, respectively.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted the success of the race and thanked all the organisers and participants who contributed in making it a successful event.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the good performances shown by the participating riders in the race that reflected the developed skills existing in the field of Bahraini endurance sports.
He expressed his optimism about the future of endurance and equestrian sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain, adding the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team is constantly taking the opportunities of organising local races and championships to discover new talents that would enrich the team in the future. HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated the winners and members of the organising committees.
On his part, HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa appreciated the support and care of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa of all local equestrian and endurance competitions, adding that his presence motivates the athletes to show their best performances and encourage them to compete to win advanced positions in these events. The winners thanked HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his support and expressed their joy to win such a difficult race.
