Shaikh Nasser honours race winners

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee honoured the winners of the Khalid bin Hamad 120KM Endurance Race in the presence of HH Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF).

Rashid Al Rowaie from Al Zaeem Stables won first place riding Trabic, finishing in four hours 35 minutes:35:25time with the speed of 26km/h.
The second and third places went to Al Fateh Stables’ rider Raed Mahmoud (4:44.10) and Al Asayel Stables’ Fahad Helal Al Khatery (4:44.15).
In the stables contests, the first three places were dominated by Raed Mahmoud (4:44.10), Fahad Helal Al Khatery (4:44.15) and Dana Abdulrahman Al Saeed (4:57.00).

Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted the success of the race and thanked all the organisers and participants who contributed and also praised the good performances shown by the participating riders in the race that reflected the developed skills existing in the field of Bahraini endurance sports. He also expressed his optimism about the future of endurance and equestrian sports in the Kingdom of Bahrain, adding the Bahrain Royal Endurance Team is constantly taking the opportunities of organising local races and championships to discover new talents that would enrich the team in the future.

Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa appreciated the support shown by Shaikh Nasser of all local equestrian and endurance competitions, adding that his presence motivates and boosts participants’ performances at such events. The winners thanked Shaikh Nasser for his support of the race.
