Youngsters bag Monday Madness Golf series

Ali Al Kowari and playing partner Daij Khalifa (five under par) narrowly won week four of the six-week long Porsche Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club.

The duo of Mohammed Akeel and Iftikhar Butt (-5) took the runners up spot with the same score and now sit at the top of the series leader board with eight points, while Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed and Ali Al Hakam (-3) clinched third place with nearest the Pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 won by George Moore and Dena Wales respectively.

Around 40 players took part in this week’s “Shambles” format golf tournament which was played under floodlights on the back nine holes of the challenging Montgomerie championship course.

Porsche branded flags and models of the Porsche Panamera and Porsche Cayenne were displayed on the golf course for the duration of the competition.

The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge where Sohail Singh, the Royal Golf Club’s Tournament Coordinator, was on hand to present the prizes on behalf of Porsche Centre Bahrain.

This weekly series takes place every Monday evening and is open to non-members with a tee-off at 6:30pm with a shotgun start.
