‘Proposed’ gallops to victory

Outsider ‘Proposed’ owned by Ramadhan Stable, trained by Jaber Ramadhan and ridden by Stephane Ladjadj won the eighth and final race by two lengths for the Al Sharif Group Cup for imported 2nd, 3rd, 4th and maiden classes three years and upwards over 1,800 metres and worth BD3,000 in the 15th meeting of the season yesterday at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Sakhir.

The race with a field of 16 in the fray was one of four for the Al Sharif Group Cup at the meeting, the others being three for the Crown Industries Cup and one support race.

Second place went to another outsider Baltic Knight owned by Al Afoo Racing Stable, trained by Bader Al Abed and ridden by Duran Pentiman and three lengths further behind in third was the second favourite, Marhaba Malyoon owned by Yasmeen Hussain Ahmed Aldailami, trained by Hussain Aldailami and ridden by Hassan Al Saffar.

A further length and a quarter behind in fourth was the third favourite Moannaa owned by Hani Marzooq, trained by Jaffar Marzooq and ridden by Alberto Sanna.
