Jaber takes bronze title

ManamaExperienced Bahraini driver Jaber Al Khalifa has been crowned champion of the bronze category of Season 7 of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Middle East. Jaber comfortably crossed the finish line third in his category and in tenth place overall in the final race to win the bronze title on his home circuit yesterday at the Bahrain International Circuit.

The Team Bahrain driver Jaber delivered consistently across the course of his full debut season in the Middle East championship overcoming strong competition to complete the perfect finish to a tough 12 race campaign.

Cheers of joy from the Bahrain Team mechanics and fans met the driver as he climbed out his car for the last time this season knowing he had done enough to achieve his dream of winning one of the most prestigious trophy’s in Middle Eastern motorsport.

“I am very happy with my performance and the plan was to start and finish today and not take any risks that could potentially harm my chances of winning the category title here. I enjoyed the race today and felt it was one of my strongest performances this season.”

Jaber said it was his first full season here in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, and winning his category was a lifetime achievement.

“I hope to can repeat this again and winning in my home country and circuit.”
