Ribery hits hat-trick in Bayern friendly win
London : Bayern Munich’s players are primed for the second half of the Bundesliga season after a comfortable friendly win over SG Sonnenhof Großaspach on Tuesday.
Franck Ribery scored a hat-trick after first-half goals from Kingsley Coman and Thomas Muller.
Bayern get their league campaign back underway after the winter break on Friday night against Bayer Leverkusen and this was the perfect warm-up. Coman got the first goal in front of the 5,000 supporters in attendance at the Allianz Arena. Experienced winger Arjen Robben ran down the wing before cutting the ball back for Coman to finish.
Saliou Sane pulled a goal back for the German third division side four minutes before half-time when he scored from the penalty spot.
But five minutes into the second half any Bayern were back in front when Muller scored.
SG were level for the second time in the match just six minutes later, though. Pascal Sohm beat Bayern goalkeeper Tom Starke with an effort from 35 yards out.
Ribery, however, would only need to wait three minutes more before putting his side back in front although SG were level again just 120 seconds later when Mario Rodriguez took advantage of slack defending.
