New Millennium School lifts CBA – Alba under 14 title
Highly spirited New Millennium School beat the mighty Indian School by 52 runs in the final to lift the CBA - Alba School Cricket under 14 championship at Alba Club ground. Batted first New Millennium School has scored a reasonable score of 151 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
The highlights of the New Millennium innings was a powerful batting display by the opener Ethan Sequeira (43) and a quick fire 36 by the captain Aryan Koul. Ishan Lakshmikant was the most successful bowler for Indian school who took 4wickets for 21 runs. Chasing the target of 151 runs, the Indian school was bowled out for 99 runs. Only Aryan Arora (20) and Ananthkrishnan(18) batted sensibly in the difficult chase.
Off spinner Ansh Katiyan was the most destructive bowler who took 3 wickets for just 7 runs. Shashank Shukla (2 for 29) and Gopikrishna (2 for 30) supported Ansh.K with 2 wickets each. NMS was unbeatable in entire tournament. Colts Cricket Academy beat Combined school by 1 run in a nail biting finish to win the Second runner up position. Colts Academy 174 for 2 wickets.
