Anthony Joshua, Amir Khan support boxing event in Bahrain

Bahrain has been the hub of combat sports for the last few years, and boxing is among the sports reaping the benefits of the Kingdom’s hard work and investments in the field. As Bahrain Boxing hosts one of the biggest boxing events in the country, legends of the sport have expressed their support for the event, held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Olympic Committee.

Former Heavyweight world boxing champion Anthony Joshua and former Light Welterweight titleholder Amir Khan have personally sent their pieces of advice to the young boxers taking part in the amateur event, which is set to kickstart several long and prosperous careers thanks to the efforts of the Bahrain Boxing Federation and Sheikh Khaled. “I want to wish the boxers all the best of luck for the event. Taking part is what counts.

Don’t feel any pressure. Go in and enjoy it! I’m very impressed that you guys are taking the sport and using it to build something positive”, said Joshua, while Khan reinforced the need for the upand-comers to train hard and work hard. “I want to say hi to everybody in Bahrain, and say to the fighters that they need to train hard, work hard, and keep winning.
