Rain delays US Open final start
New York
--
Rain delayed the start of the US Open men's singles final between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer at Flushing Meadows yesterday.
The final had been due to get underway at 4pm (2000GMT) but has been put back to 6:15pm (2215GMT) at the earliest.
The forecast calls for a 15 percent chance of scattered showers in the New York area all evening but zero chance of rain on Monday.
A retractable roof will debut next year at Arthur Ashe Stadium, in part due to rain that delayed five men's finals in a row from 2008-2012 to Monday.
