Shaikh Khalid hails military football team’s achievement in Wuhan
HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee praised the honourable result accomplished by Bahrain national military football team after winning the title of the football competition which took place as part of the Military World Games in Wuhan, China. Bahrain smashed Qatar 3-1 in the final to win the game and the title of the contest.
“This achievement which was accomplished by our military football team is a continuation of the successes made by our national teams that have managed to engrave Bahrain name among the champions in continental and international competitions,” HH Shaikh Khalid said.
HH Shaikh Khalid stated that “This result wouldn’t have been possible without the support of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as the follow-up of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.”
He further added: “Bahrain national military teams have managed to make their way towards success, affirming their high stature through extraordinary performances and displays,” noting that such accomplishments reflect the strong support the military sports enjoy from Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
