REHC horseracing to commence tomorrow

Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) is set to hold seven races tomorrow at its premises in Sakhir, with nearly BD20,000 in prize money. The main event is seventh race of the day for Tylos Plastic Industries Cup. It will be held over a distance of 2,000 metres and it carries a prize purse of BD4,000.

It is for imported horses rated zero to 90 aged three years old and above. There are nine horses entered, including American Artist owned by Al Adiyat Racing, Direct Message owned by Zuhair Naser Ali Omran, Muwaaly owned by Al Afoo Racing Stable, Whistle Stop owned by Walla Fadhel Majeed, Tamerlane owned by Al Mohamediya Racing, Taqaseem owned by Al Jaboori Racing, Branscombe owned by Yasser Ammar Abduljalil, and Nigel and Macaue, both owned by Victorious. Meanwhile, 14 horses are entered in the day’s sixth race, also for the Tylos Plastic Industries Cup.

It is set for 1,600 metres with prize money of BD3,000. It is for imported horses rated zero to 85 aged three years old and above. The fifth race of the day is for the Late S Sharaf Al Alawi Cup. It is over 1,800m with a prize purse of BD2,000, with locally bred horses of all classes aged three years old and up. The fourth race, also for the Tylos Plastic Industries Cup, is over 1,400m with a BD3,000 prize for locally bred horses rated zero to 45 aged three and above. The third race for the Safra Cup will be over 1,400m with a BD1,500 prize.

It is for WAHO horse classes two, three, four and maiden horses aged three and up. The day’s second race for the Tylos Plastic Industries Cup is over a straight distance of 1,200m and a prize of BD2,500. It is for imported class four and maiden horses aged three and up. The opening race of the day will have a large field of 17 competing. It is for the Tylos Plastic Industries Cup, and it is over a straight 1,000m distance, carrying a prize of BD2,500. The event is for locally bred maiden class horses aged three and above.
