Al Hala rally past Bahrain Club
Al Hala routed Bahrain Club 105-73 last night in their Group B game of the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Cup, being played at Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam. Hala came out firing on all cylinders and took a commanding 27-12 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Bahrain Club settled in but Hala continued to build on their advantage, before closing out strong for the lopsided victory. They led by as many as 34 points en route to claiming their third win in five outings, which gives them a mathematical chance of making it through to the semi-finals.
Bahrain Club suffered their third loss in four games and have one left to play. American Da’quan Cook paced Hala with 28 points and 14 rebounds. Abdulla Osama added 18 while Nooh Shehabi contributed 16. Cup action continues tonight with Nuwaidrat facing Sitra in a Group A game at 5.30pm.
