Muharraq clinched this year’s Bahrain Football Association (BFA) Cup last night following a 4-1 victory over Busaiteen in the tournament final. On target for Muharraq were Nigerian professional Prince Obus Aggreh, Bahrain international striker Ismaeel Abdullatif and Ali Meshkhas, while Busaiteen’s Abdulla Omar inadvertently sent the ball into his own net.
In their loss, Ebrahim Mustafa fired in Busaiteen’s lone consolation. Following the match, both teams picked up their respective medals in an awarding ceremony. Muharraq’s triumph earned them a cup double to cap this season, after previously also winning His Majesty the King’s Cup.
