FIA celebrates Bahrain’s motorsport volunteers

The Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) is celebrating the fourth annual FIA Volunteers Weekend, which has coincided with the running of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at Bahrain International Circuit.
FIA President Jean Todt met with a number of volunteers and officials participating in the Grand Prix’s events. Officials from the Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF) joined him.
“I congratulate all the volunteers who generously devote their time and energy to ensure the safety and success of every FIA motorsport event,” Todt said. “Without them, we would not be able to go racing.”
To mark the occasion, the BMF has distributed a number of gifts to its volunteers, in the presence of Todt. BMF general manager Abdulaziz Al Thawadi is a member of the FIA Volunteers and Officials Commission, which is a testament to the high qualify of Bahraini motorsport volunteers and officials.
