Founded in 2016 by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa in the Kingdom of Bahrain, BRAVE Combat Federation has quickly established itself as a global force in the industry of Mixed Martial Arts, mostly due to its unique approach to the sport.
While the industry standard is focusing on regional expansion, segregating rosters, and following an event-based model, BRAVE Combat Federation came in with a global concept since its inception, expanding roster possibilities, and shifting the paradigm from event-based to sport-based, intending to create a whole new global ecosystem for the sport of Mixed Martial Arts.
"One of the main pillars of the promotion is its scouting program. The program covers more areas than any other promotion, and has had unmatched success in finding hidden talents from all parts of the world. The promotion has prided itself on finding these and nurturing these hidden gems rather than just signing fully formed talents." a recent report in popular European mixed martial arts centered publication MMA UK stated.
Examples of this initiative are many, with Khamzat Chimaev, a current MMA sensation, being an athlete that was not only found by BRAVE Combat Federation but had his whole development process taking place under the promotion’s banner, the report stated.
Another example of BRAVE CF's success in scouting talents is Johnny Walker who became an international sensation following several huge wins. Walker had his first taste of exposure in the global MMA scene through BRAVE CF when he fought and won by KO against Rodrigo Jesus at BRAVE CF 8. Also, Ilia Topuria a huge talent from Spain was found by BRAVE CF's scouting program and became one of the most sought-after prospects in the Featherweight division. Phil Hawes is another fighter unearthed by BRAVE CF who looks to be onto great things.
More recently, IMMAF double-champ Muhammad Mokaev made waves with his pro debut at BRAVE CF. Mokaev has been under the BRAVE Combat Federation development program since his amateur days and turned pro with much more impact than many of his fellow IMMAF alumni. His teammate Murtaza Talha is also touted to be one of the best fighters in the world. Other gifted talents in the BRAVE CF roster include African IMMAF champion Nkosi Ndebele and undefeated Austrian fighter Mochamed Machaev.
But the list grows longer and, more importantly, covers areas that were once neglected by the sport. BRAVE CF is the largest developer of Mixed Martial Arts talent in regions such as Africa, South Asia, Europe and South America, fomenting the local scene as well as offering an international platform to the regional stars.
