HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports First Deputy Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee has instructed his media office to resume the postponed Strongest GCC Man Championship in February 2021 by holding the finals of the event in the area opposite to the late Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa Halls in Isa Sports City.

The proceeds of the event, which is part of HH Shaikh Khalid’s initiatives in the sports and humanitarian fields, will be donated to support cancer patients.

“We have instructed our media office to complete the event after approving the organisation of the competition next February. This comes after sensing the great desire of the GCC’s young people who qualified for the finals before the coronavirus pandemic to conclude the event.

The finals will take place while taking into account the precautions that are meant to protect the health and the wellbeing of the participants and the Organising Committee members,” HH Shaikh Khalid said.

“The Strongest GCC Man Championship was organised following the tremendous success achieved in the Strongest Bahraini Championship. This has encouraged us to hold this event in support of the sportspeople in the GCC region.

This will allow us to discover new talents in this sport from across the region and we are keen to continue organising it,” he added Additionally, he wished all finalists the best of luck in their endeavours to win the title.

The prizes earmarked for the event are worth $130,000, with the winner receiving $100,000.

The runner-up will get $20,000 and the remaining $10,000 will go to the third-place winner. It’s worth noting that the qualifiers took place in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE and Oman.
