Bahrain’s Al Taweela triumphs in Saudi race

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa's racing camel, ‘Al Taweela’, won first place in the fifth round of the fifth edition of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival.

HH Shaikh Mohammed dedicated the victory to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman expressed his pride in the results achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain during the fifth edition of the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, noting this victory proves the commitment of Bahraini youth to preserve culture and heritage, passed down from generation to generation.

HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman applauded the support of HM the King to sport and heritage, which has had a great impact on strengthening the connection of the people of Bahrain to its rich and unique heritage.

HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman also praised the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to sports and youth empowerment, noting that the personal interest and constant guidance from HRH has contributed to the preservation of cultural heritage that represents the identity of Bahraini society.

HH Shaikh Mohammed noted that the continuous support of HM the King has galvanised youth participation in camel sports and attributed their achievements to the support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HH welcomed Bahrain’s performance at the 5th edition of King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, which has increased its regional footing in this sector.

HH Shaikh Mohammed then congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport on his victories in two rounds at the festival, with ‘Jabal Dhukhan’ and ‘Injaz” both securing first place positions.  

HH Shaikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation to all involved with the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival for their hospitality, which has brought together camel racing enthusiasts from across the region, and wished them continued success.
