When falcons take the fast lane in Bahrain

His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Falcon Championship produced 46 winners on its opening day. The championship is part of the seventh edition of the Nasser bin Hamad Falcon and Hunting Season which opened in the Kingdom on Friday.
Falconers flocked to register for the championship held at Bahrain International Endurance Village on last Monday and Tuesday. The competition on its first day was open for the public, where the organising committee allotted platforms away from professional players.
In the Al-Shawaheen category, Hasan Saud Al-Ajami bagged the first and second places, while Abdullah Hamad Al-Nuaimi took the third spot. The event saw ten falcons win. In the Al-Harar category, Issa Rashid Al-Thawadi won the first place, Rashid Nabil Al-Balushi came second, and Rashid Ayed Al-Marri came third. Six falconers bagged prizes in the event.
Hassan Faisal Al-Ajmi won first place in the Jirat Al-Shawaheen round. Ahmed Ibrahim Mandi won second place, and Khaled Faisal Al-Ajmi was ranked third. In the Jirat Al-Mingle match, Abdullah Nasser Abdullah won first place, Issa Nasser Al-Ghatim second, and Ali Khaled Al-Nuaimi third.
In the young falconers’ category, ten falconers bagged prizes. Saeed Muhammad Al-Marri won first place, Zayed Mishaal the second place, and Abdel-Wahab Ahmed Al-Hajri came third in the race held to encourage the youngsters to engage in the sport.
