Bahrain Raid Xtreme highlights its technical partners for Dakar Rally

Bahrain Raid Xtreme (BRX) has announced its full suite of technology partners as it begins the first stages of the Dakar Rally 2021 – one of the toughest sporting events in the world.
BRX Official Technical Partners include Sparco, Akrapovič, MakerBot and DSM, each partner playing a vital role in ensuring the BRX cars, drivers and team are ready to compete in one of sport’s biggest tests of endurance.
Together, BRX and its Technical Partners will negotiate the extreme conditions of the Saudi Arabian desert over a 7,646km (4,751mile) race.
BRX’s driver line-up includes nine-time World Rally Champion, Sebastien Loeb, from France, and two-time Dakar Rally winner, Nani Roma, from Spain.
Sparco, like Prodrive-led BRX, have strong experience in motorsport and have been partnering with elite motorsport teams for over 40 years. The Italian auto part and accessory company specialise in producing technical racing items and will provide BRX with all race-ready equipment to be worn by drivers and mechanics, including; seats, belts, driver suits and the brand new shoes “ X-light+ “ with carbon fibre inner sole.
Akrapovič is a market-leading manufacturer of premium exhaust systems for motorcycles and performance cars. It is a pioneer in the innovative use of super-alloys and at the forefront of carbon components. As a BRX Technical Partner, Akrapovič have developed a bespoke exhaust in collaboration with Prodrive to support Hunter as it embarks on unprecedented terrain in the Dakar.
MakerBot, a Stratasys company, is a global leader in the 3D printing industry. As a BRX Technical Partner, MakerBot will provide crucial parts for Hunter – both during races, as well as at BRX headquarters in Banbury UK.
Royal DSM is a global, purpose-led, science-based company active in Nutrition, Health and Sustainable Living. As a BRX Technical Partner, DSM will support with high performance engineering 3D printing materials and applications consultancy. During the Dakar, they will offer expert advice as to which components should be printed and what material is best suited for each scenario.
