Bahrain to host 2021 Asian Youth Para Games

Shaikh Mohamed bin Duaij Al Khalifa the President of the Bahrain Paralympic Committee confirmed the hosting of the 2021 Asian Youth Para Games which will be held from the 28th of November until the 7thof December 2021.

The Paralympic committee launched the event’s logo which was designed to represent disabled athletes. One drawing is on a wheelchair and the other has a prosthetic leg jumping over the barrier which is represented as number one.

The logo intends to show the achievement of sustainable development regarding equality between two genders, making partnerships to spread health awareness among the disabled psychologically and physically.

This would underscore the Kingdom’s efforts in aiding them to achieve excellence within sports, which highlights the place of the Kingdom as an oasis of inclusiveness, prosperity, and advancement.

Shaikh Mohamed bin Duaij Al Khalifa stated “the vision of His Royal Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports gave the Paralympic Committee the motivation to work on hosting the huge event as the Para Games by following the international standers which made Bahrain considered as the capital of Youth and Sports.

In addition, the attention given to this matter by His Royal Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and the President of Bahrain Athletics Association in supporting the Para Games will ensure that the appropriate care is given to the athletes”.
